The crowd cheered as Roy Costner IV, the high school valadictorian at Liberty High School in Liberty, South Carolina, ripped up his preapproved speech and then recited the Lord's Prayer in an act of civil disobedience against the school district's attempt to infringe on his First Amendment free speech rights.
